Mike's new look

Ok everyone bear with me, as I try and blog for the first time. Taking a note from Heather, as I follow Mike going into surgery to remove a bone from his nose that had grown in wrong and was make him have ongoing sinus infections.

Firt picture is Mike getting ready to leave the house, he had to shave everything off his face, dr. told him if not it would be very messy after surgery, with drainage and all.
Next one is the things they put on his legs that inflate every 45 sec. to keep blood circulating and avoid blood clots, couldn't get one of him going off to surgery they didn't call me in until they were taking him out the door and down the hallway. So I did get into recovery and got a picture of Mike coming out of it, although he doesn't remember me taking any picturesNext is Mike in his room had to stay overnight becuz he has sleep apnea and they didn't want to take any chances with the anesthesia. Sort of the beginnings of a Jimmy Durante wouldn't you say, hee, hee, hee.
We are home now and he had the packing taken out of his nose and he is recuperating as well as a man can!!!!!!!! Should be back to normal in a week or so, he can breathe alot better, said he got light headed with all the air coming in. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year, love to all.

a great find!!!

ok here is a great find, to me this is a unbelievable trophy for a bow hunter or any hunter for that matter. well we went out around noon to do some hog hunting on sunday, we had some real hard rains on sat night and sun morning so we figured it would be a good time to get out cause we had a cold front comming in and its been so dry here that we figured we should get out and see what happens. so we hiked (well walked) back about a mile from a road to the area i yook the first hog a few weeks ago and nothin was moving so we decided to work some other parts of the area around there. we went into a dried swamp and something caught my eye in the ground and for some reason it got my attention enough to pick it out of the dirt and look what it was only a little bit about a 1/4 of it was showing
now here in fla. you can and will find shells everywhere you go so i dont know why this caught my attention so hard but it did. to me this is a true hunting trophy cause a past hunter and a present day hunter crossed paths doing the same thing about 200 years apart give or take a few or a lot of years and i have this to remember the time for the rest of my life.
