look what/who we got!!!

ok as we said we were looking for a second puppy for us and a playmate for annie well we found one! here he is his name is bear.
now we dont know for sure yet until he gets a little older but they say he is rottweiler/lab mix or lab and Australian sheppard so we have to wait and see. he is 2 and a 1/2 months old and is a tank allready! now you will have to excuse him as he wont sit still long enough to get any good pics yet unless he is passed out (you'll see that in a second) now this guy is all about sue in a big way! he cant stand for her not to be with him (but thats ok cause annie is like that with me!) he is also a rescue from the humane society.

he sat just long enough to get this pic then made a super dive off the steps onto annie!

in this video was jut after he got home we had taken annie to meet him before we got him just to make sure and they hit it off like they have allways known eachother so when we got home annie got this toy and gave it to him and then they ran around togeather and played with it.



and no thats not trash those bottles are one of annies favorite toys.

and as i said there he is right between sue legs and here is annie on the bed under the celing fan. note the toys her two ducks they are her favorite and almost allways with her.
ok keep looking back we will keep up on posting as summer is comming and i wont be in the woods all the time so we will have things to blog about.

meet our new family member.

ok as you know we lost our last dog starr, but we adopted a new puppy from the humane society (the pound) well here she is and her name is annie.
she is a border collie mix, mixed with what we dont know. here is some more pics of her

she is a smart little pup she is 2 months and three weeks old. she allready figured out the dog door and the stairs and also how to hide under the outside stairs so she dont have to come in, she loves to be outside and escapes to there any chance she gets!

she is a real pistol shootin all over the place, then she gets warm and has to did up a bit of dirt and plop her stomack in there to cool down notice the back leggs straight out for total gut contact.
here she is under the stairs in the first pic and the second one of her but is with sue on the other side trying to talk her into commin out, belive me she has no problem with argueing with ya when she dont want to do somethin!

these next ones crack us up when she does it, now when she drinks water inside she stands up but outside she has to sit down?

ok just a few random shots of her for the last few. but we are looking to get another puppy for her (and us) we tried to get her sister also but we were to late someone beat us to her so we are checkin everyday at the humane society for just the right pup for her so keep lookin back for more updates on the new arivals.

in memory of starr.

well sat the 16th we had to put our other dog starr to sleep,
she had severe arthritis in her spine and in the past she had to have both rear knees operated on for the same thing, we had gotten her as a companion for dakota to keep her company and to give her someone to play with while we were at work or out. we had her for 12 years and she passed 1 year and 11 months to the day that dakota was put to sleep.
now her and dakota were complete opposites of each other dakota loved other dogs and starr hated anything alive that wasnt dakota but liked people (adults) and as anyone that met dakota knew that she hated all people.
there they are doin what they loved to do together in there section of the yard thats why it wasnt mowed they loved looking for and catching snakes and lizards together.

now dakota was with no doubt sues dog and starr was mine, i couldnt go outside to the shed or just to the yard with out her she had to go with me, if i was into some project of any sort she was into it too. here i was finishing gutting a hog before we butchered it and as you can see she had to have her nose in on the deal.
the funniest thing she would love to do was aggravate sue anyway she could anytime she could to get a rise out of her and believe me she did!
here she is when we first started to clear our yard after we moved in playin with her ball.
the next pics are two of my favorite one as i said she has to be into what i am so when we did a older post on the sidecar project and as you can see she was exited about it. and the other one i was headed out to go huntin and she wanted to be with me.

she will be so missed but it was not fair to her to stay in the pain that she was even though she never complained and tried so hard not to let i slow her down but she was starting to loose the battle so we gave her freedom back to her. we love you starr.

valentines day florida style

well its been awhile since we blogged and i know i never put up sue's award collection but hey things could be worse.
well for valentines day while most of you were cold and or in the snow we hit the beach! we havent done much lately so we got out the bikes and headed for the beach, we rode the beach all the way to the jetty and lighthouse it was about 6 miles each way. here's some pics.
as you can see it was a great day weather wise.
the sand is hard packed so its great for riding on.

sue just had to go in the water and wanted to post it to show off that we can go in the water in feb!!!!

ok now for the end of the trip, all went well until....

well this weekend we are goin up to st. augastine and we are gonna take the bikes (and sun block!!) with us and go ride around up there and we are gonna go climb the lighthouse there we are gonna take the cameras so thee will be another post on next mon or tue for all yall.

she does it again!!!!!

well once again for the third year in a row sue won the bus rodeo for her company! last year she won but didnt feel like traveling to the state match so she passed on going, the one before that she did go to the state rodeo and came in 5th out of the 50! and for the next three years they will be hosting the the state match where she works so no travel. now she has one the last three out of six that her company has had, but she didnt compete in the first three, today she beat second place by 70 points and was bummed cause she messed up a few times and should have really wooped em.

we really havent been up to anything interesting enough to blog about but i thought this was blog werthy, also a few years ago she won the above and beond award for all the transit athority company's in the state now thats a ton of public trans deptments in the state and a ton of employee's and she won the award/honor she was the first and only person to ever win the honor for her company and as far as we know the only for our county! she was to go and meet with the governer of the state to exept the award but she said nay and didnt go to the ceremony but she got the plaque and the honor. her company wrote a great entry letter for her and she never knew they even considered her or even knew there was such a thing they just told her that she had to go to tampa for the weekend for a comany meeting and they wouldnt tell her why so she told them well i'll see ya monday when ya get back so they had to tell her and she said there was no way she was goin over there and exepting it in front of everyone, cant say i blame for that i wouldnt either. ok tomorow i will post again and show the awards that she has won i think we still have them all, we are gonna try and take a night or two and do our second post of old pictures sue has a bunch more some real old this time, so keep looking.

shuttle launch

we went down to see the launch so here's the video. its not the greatest we took it on our camera and it was windy but sue got a good video of it and i took some still so here is everything.



ok here is some of the pics i took. a;so there is a place in cocoa beach we go to eat at called the cape codder its owned by a couple from cape cod and they stayed true to new england sea food and the way its cooked, they also have boston herald papers in there and all kinds of red sox ans celtics stuff. look how thick the clam chowder is.

where we were it was about 8 mikes from the launch pad. the wind was blowing the wrong way to really hear and feel it good but it was still cool depending on the wind we can here it really good at the house too.
