Mike's new look

Ok everyone bear with me, as I try and blog for the first time. Taking a note from Heather, as I follow Mike going into surgery to remove a bone from his nose that had grown in wrong and was make him have ongoing sinus infections.

Firt picture is Mike getting ready to leave the house, he had to shave everything off his face, dr. told him if not it would be very messy after surgery, with drainage and all.
Next one is the things they put on his legs that inflate every 45 sec. to keep blood circulating and avoid blood clots, couldn't get one of him going off to surgery they didn't call me in until they were taking him out the door and down the hallway. So I did get into recovery and got a picture of Mike coming out of it, although he doesn't remember me taking any picturesNext is Mike in his room had to stay overnight becuz he has sleep apnea and they didn't want to take any chances with the anesthesia. Sort of the beginnings of a Jimmy Durante wouldn't you say, hee, hee, hee.
We are home now and he had the packing taken out of his nose and he is recuperating as well as a man can!!!!!!!! Should be back to normal in a week or so, he can breathe alot better, said he got light headed with all the air coming in. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year, love to all.

This is a medical breakthrough! I will bet it gets written up in the New England Journal of Medicine - Mike will be "normal" in a week or so? Mike has never been normal - if this operation makes him normal it will be the medical marvel of the century! Okay...only kidding. Hope you recuperate quickly and fully. Talk to you soon (man, what a nose, hee, hee, hee).

Frankly Mike, you look really nice clean shaven. You remind me of some actor or other celebrity I've seen, but I can't put my finger on who. Watch, it will come to me as soon as I press "publish" on this comment.
Great job, Sue on documenting the whole process. They make for great stories later -- and blackmail! I hope that you (Mike) recover quickly and that Sue doesn't have to play servant for too long. Nothin' like playing nursemaid to a sick husband to make you appreciate it when they are healthy!

Love you guys lots!

Hey Guys,

Great blog Sue!! Nice job! And I agree with Heather - Mike does look good clean shaven. The pictures and text made me hold my nose in sympathy. I hope you heal fast. The nose can be one of the most annoying parts of the body. Good luck and get better soon!! Love you guys!
